The city Hyderabad tour as a backpacker traveller. What shall I tell ‘A city of Biriyani‘ or a ‘City of Pearl‘ or ‘City of Nizam‘ or ‘One of the fastest growing city in India‘. Whatever you may tell it is a very old city in India. This is a historical city apart from a huge Movie Industry as well as one of the biggest IT hub in India.
Near the Charminar and adjacent Gali (Lane) is full of different Pearl shops and there you will find the Churi (Bangles) in Telugu Gajulu. Both sides of the Main road you will find very big and old pearl shops and Jardousi Sarees and dressed for women.

The biggest attraction in Hyderabad is an obvious choice of Charminar. Another attraction is Mecca Masjid. It’s really wonderful. Charminar opens up at 9 AM sharp. You should be climbing up the stairs of this historic monument originally built in the year 1591 to commemorate the end of the plague in Hyderabad. From the Charminar, you can view a large part of the old city of Hyderabad, Mecca Masjid, Osmania Hospital and the Chowmohalla palace.

About the history of the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, chronicling the lives of its rulers you will view in the Chowmohalla Palace. It is a museum, Chowmohalla provides a peek into the lives of the Nizams of Hyderabad and apart from the Falaknuma.

But being a yogi here I have found a Shiva Temple – Charminar Shiv Mandir. A wonderful Shiva temple as well as a beautiful Crystal Shivlinga.
Very near to this place you may go by walking like me or by AutoRickshaw which you may say mini cab the Salarjung Museum. The Salarjung museum houses one of the largest collections of art collected by one person. Plan sufficient time for Salarjung Museum. Otherwise, it will difficult for you to complete all the exhibits.
Golconda fort – another beauty in Hyderabad. At the Kakatiya Dynasty, it was erected around 1143 AD. Later it came under Qutub Shahi kings and they reconstructed it. Presently in Light and Sound, you can know the history of it.
Apart from the Nwababi beauty, there are visiting places like Birla Temple, Hussain Sagar with a huge Buddha Statue and boating facility.
People told me one-day city trip is enough, but for me, it required 2days to complete the entire city main places.
Wow sorry, I would be missed by telling you about the Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani. Extremely sorry food lovers. I have found two places with excellent Biriyani from my few backpacker friends who are eating Non-Veg. One is Paradise and another one is Alfa.
